2008 Resolutions in Review
Jan 2nd, 2009 by Scott Hebert
In January 2008, I published a list of 5 resolutions for 2008. Before detailing my resolutions for 2009, I’d like to take a look at those old resolutions and see how I measured up.
- Write at least 1 Facebook application.
This resolution went absolutely nowhere. Not only did I not make any progress on a Facebook application, I really cut back on my Facebook usage altogether. - Double my blog readership.
This resolution went pretty well. My goal was to reach the following numbers:
Scott Hebert: 15 readers
Hynjoku: 15 readers
Slaptijack: 80 readers
My personal blog and Hynjoku had just a few more readers than my goal. This is especially interesting considering I abandoned Hynjoku in April when I stopped playing World of Warcraft. Slaptijack went well above the 80 reader mark and is now in triple digits. - Drop 30 pounds.
Fail. - Shut down Praeter Technologies, Inc.
Success. I managed to jump through all the hoops necessary to make this happen. This means I will no longer be filing unnecessary tax returns after this year. - Read at least one book per month.
I’m proud to report I blew this one away. According to my Goodreads account, I read more than 20 books in 2008.
