Scott Hebert

My name is Scott Hebert and this site is my personal blog. I’ve owned the heberts.net domain since 1998, but I’ve only been using it as a blog since April 2007.

I live in Central Texas with my wife, Autumn, and our two sons.

During the day, I make a living as a technology consultant specializing in network and systems engineering. I code in Perl, Python, and Ruby and TextMate is my editor of choice. I also maintain the high-end technology blog, Slaptijack.

I spend my free time with my family, biking, reading, and watching baseball. We have season tickets to the local minor league team, and if you follow me on Twitter, you’ve probably heard me mention them plenty.

Before you ask, that car at the top of the page is a 1981 Chevrolet Citation. Mine was all red and had chrome mud flaps.
