Biggio’s 3000th Follow-Up

I’ve given it a few days, hoping a nice high quality TV rip of the 3000th hit would surface on YouTube. Unfortunately, nothing I really liked has surfaced, but I think this video really captures the mood of the event.

Biggio hits 3000! (And I was there!)

Last night was a truly momentous occasion for any Astros fan, and I was lucky enough to be there! When Biggio stroked that single to center, the roof absolutely blew off of Minute Maid.
Anyway, I’m hoping to find some decent video of the event today. When I do, I’ll post it here.

It was announced today that Houston outfielder Hunter Pence (along with Arizona’s Jose Valverde) was named NL Player of the Week.

Roger Clemens Is A Yankee

Roger Clemens announced today that he has signed a $28 million (prorated, of course) deal with the New York Yankees. Considering Andy Pettitte left for the Yankees in the off-season (ending his rehab assignment with the Houston club), it’s really no surprise that Clemens would follow suit.
