Digg or Reddit - Which Works Best For You?

A few days ago, I posted a technical article to Digg and Reddit. The article wasn’t really link-bait, so I didn’t expect much to come of it. That being said, I learned something that was a bit surprising.

All the hype about Digg really had me believing that any significant traffic boost would come from there. I was completely wrong. As you can see from the image above (cut from Google Analytics), Reddit has so far sent me more than five times as much traffic!
Of course, the not-so-surprising part is that none of this traffic has really converted to anything. So far, the article in question has experienced an 87% bounce rate and I’ve seen no appreciable increase in subscribers. Still, it was a worthwhile experiment from an SEO perspective.
So, that leaves me with just this question:
