Problogger Darren Rowse has recommend a few ways you can increase RSS readership by Stickify Your Blog. I think this is a great idea, and I’ve decided to move forward on it.
So, on several of my blogs, I’ve added a box below the title, but above the main post content, encouraging interested readers to subscribe to the site’s RSS feed.
I haven’t done this on all pages, but have instead selected the pages that receive the most organic search engine traffic. This should guarantee that the readers are new to the site and haven’t already subscribed to the RSS feed.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress of this project.
