You Need a New Job?
Dec 18th, 2007 by Scott Hebert
I recently discovered that Indeed Jobs has a job advertising service. I’ve poked around their services in the past, and even used their salary service to estimate how much I should be paid.
To the right, you should see an advertised job search based on the keywords “freelance writer”. (The ads are served up via JavaScript, so there’s likely nothing to see if you are reading this in an RSS reader.)
Anyway, the ad should be displaying freelance writing related jobs in YOUR area. I assume this only works for the United States. If you’re outside the United States, leave a comment and let me know what you see.
I’ve begun running these keyword-based job searches on Slaptijack using category names mapped to keywords. Thus, if you are reading a “Networking” article, you should see jobs in your area related to “network administrator”.
I have no idea at the moment how well this will work as a site monetization strategy, but it seems like a really helpful service for my readers. If you have any thoughts on the subject, leave a comment and let us know.
