Hi:

My name is Andrea, and I am with Large Animal Games. We have recently developed an online version of Bananagrams, which is free for Facebook users.

The online version has received great reviews, and maintains the fast pace that fans love! Players have the option of challenging friends, and can also start live and public games. There are several options for solo play, including long and short games. One unique feature of the online version is the virtual store. Players earn credits, and can apply them toward a variety of tiles and playing boards.

Here is the link:

I hope you have the chance to check it out!

James didn't even show his face this weekend! For the record, I finished dead last this weekend...by many points. Gag.

Boggle anyone?

For the love of all that's holy, why would you even play a game which you believed had no need to keep score? Scoring is absolutely necessary in order for complex strategy to evolve. If you don't keep score ,how else will you know who comes in second to James?

Done!

One of the things I love about Bananagrams is that there is no need to keep score. First one done wins! Just play first person with two or three victories wins a match. When my friends and family play however, we impose a house rule - two letter words are not allowed. So the smallest possible words are of three letters.

Not sure how to discourage trading in hard letters even more than the three letter penalty.

I find this interesting, but, as of yet, have no constructive commentary on the varying methodology of scoring, as I have yet to personally experience the playing of Bananagrams, be it scored or unscored. I will, however, click on the above link and further examine the game and thereafter will estimate its "potential fun-level." If I find the game to appear a promising past-time in similtude to or exceeding comparable games, I will then perhaps seek out said game, play it, and then contribute my feedback.

Or, on the other hand, I may completely forget to look into it altogether. Still, I always appreciate game reviews, so thanks.

I like the Jamesian scoring method better, for 2 reasons. One, I'm James. Two, Daronian sounds too much like Darwinian, and I refuse to play any scoring method that evolved over millions of years. The method was created in a day - deal with it.
